“YOUNG ARTISTS AND AUTHORS SHOWCASE”

“PEACE THROUGH PEOPLE”

Young artists, authors, filmmakers, and photographers from around the world are encouraged to use their imaginations and come up with their most creative work that is inspired by what “Peace Through People” means to them. Grand prize winners will receive $1,000 each and winning and finalist artworks, essays, and poems will also be displayed in various U.S. member cities.

Contact your high school English or art teacher for guidelines and entry forms.

“DUES ARE DUE— DON’T FORGET”

By now you should have received a dues renewal letter with a stamped return envelope and two 2016 horizontal

calendars. If you haven’t renewed your membership, please return your dues payment as soon as possible.

“NEWSLETTER NAME WINNER”

I announced last month that there was a “Name the Newsletter” winner. There was one excellent entry which won the grand prize of an expensive bottle of wine. I enjoyed drinking it.

“HORIZONTAL CALENDARS”

What to do with the peel and stick horizontal calendars you received in your dues renewal letter? I put one on the bottom my computer monitor where the whole year is in front of me. It does not leave any sticky residue. You might also put one on your refrigerator. I’m sure
