A group of 27 people visited Olvera Street in Los Angeles Feb. 8, on a trip organized by the Redlands Sister Cities Association.

The group met at the San Bernardino Metrolink station and took the train to Union Station in Los Angeles. From Union Station, they walked to Olvera Street to meet two tour guides. The walking tours of Olvera Street explored the 44acre pa rk in the oldest section of Los Angeles, including historical buildings, plazas, the Mexican market, murals and museums.

Participants learned the history of the area and its part in the beginnings of Los Angeles.

After the guided tours, participants explored the area on their own, visited museums, ate at restaurants, shopped at the Mexican market and watched Andean dancers.
